Interview with team manager

Written by Team MaXy at 20:46 5/9-2014

For better understanding of our team philosophy, we are presenting a short interview with team owner and manager.

Q: Who are you? Please introduce yourself.

A: My name is Matej, and I am 23 years old.I live in a small town in Slovenia and I am currently finishing my bachelors' degree in Financial mathematics.
Besides that, I am a huge cycling fan.

Q: Why cycling? You could choose football, basketball or any hugely popular sport in your country?

A: Well, to start, I was racing in local cycling team (Sava Kranj) for most of Junior and lower categories. I wasn't a huge talent, so I decided to pursue my other life goals. But I was always guy that loved racing and other dynamics of this beautiful sport.

Q: You mentioned your racing career. Were you any good, did you have any international success?

A: As I said, I was never a great talent, and therefore I wasn't treated in such way. I was a teammate for guys, that were obviously better than me. My "greatest" achievement was wearing a national team shirt for a junior stage race in Austria.

Q: Moving to the team, why did you start it and why did you choose that approach?

A: Well, I always dreamed of managing a team, either football or cycling. When I got an opportunity, decision seemed obvious. When discussing about team philosophy and approach, I had to consider our main sponsor interest. Luckily, we quickly found common ground. Some of the older generations still remember old country, while youngsters also show decent interest.

Q: Urban Mohori?, your team leader is showing promising results. Is he your hope for the future?

A: Let's not talk about riders, shall we? We will issue a press release in near future about him, our new signings and other riders.

Q: When can we expect that?

A: Honestly, I can't say. At the moment I am the only staff member. We are looking for someone to handle our PR, but we can't seem to find it. We are also considering a local doctor, but he prefers to stay anonymous until contract is signed.

Q: Thank you for your interview! Is there anything you wish to say to your fans and our readers?

A: Thank you for the opportunity. We are hoping our project will grow even more in next months. We are hoping our fanbase gets even bigger and attains us another sponsor.

  Q: Thank you and goodbye.

  A: Goodbye!
